The Department of Neurosurgery at the University of Florida College of Medicine – Jacksonville provides inpatient and outpatient services for the diagnosis, management and rehabilitation for patients suffering from diseases of the nervous system, its supportive structures, and vascular supply, such as brain tumors, aneurysms, epilepsy, movement disorders and spine diseases.
Our faculty neurosurgeons work in close conjunction with UF neurologists, neuroradiologists and neuropsychologists to provide comprehensive patient care at the UF Health Neuroscience Institute as well as outpatient care at UF Health North and UF Health Neurosciences – Emerson. We also provide pediatric neurosurgery services to Wolfson Children’s Hospital.
Our department is nationally recognized as a premier referral center for complex spine surgery as well as the treatment of spasmodic torticollis. We are also a regional referral center for brain tumors, offering one of the region’s few skull base tumor programs, and are ranked in the top 10% nationally in cranial neurosurgery patient outcomes per Healthgrades.
Our staff appreciates the value of timely assessment and effective communication when dealing with patient referrals. For more information or to refer a patient, please see our clinical services site.
